2015 AOSA Elections

Voting for the 2015 NBT election is now open. This ballot will open on the member’s only side of the site. You will need to be logged in to cast your vote. The election will close on February 2, 2015.

This page contains a list of all candidates for the AOSA National Board of Trustees. AOSA is grateful that these members are willing to dedicate their time to servant leadership for the association. In addition to a photograph and short bio for each candidate, there is also a PDF file for each office in which the candidates discuss their responses to questions about:

  • The role of Orff Schulwerk in music education today.
  • Their leadership strengths and how they will contribute to the work of AOSA.
  • The role of the NBT as it relates to the AOSA general membership.
  • Their vision for the future of AOSA and Orff Schulwerk.
AOSA Vice-President
EnglishTiffany HochJane
Tiffany English is the music specialist at Sugar Hill Elementary School in Gwinnett County, GA.  She holds degrees from The University of Georgia and Piedmont College and completed Post-Level III OS training and Level I Kodaly training. Tiffany conducted the Atlanta Area Honor Orff Ensemble at the Birmingham, AL and Charlotte, NC National AOSA Conferences. Tiffany served as the Region IV representative, and as National Conference Co-Chair for the 2014 AOSA Professional Conference in Nashville, TN. Jane Hoch is an experienced Orff Schulwerk educator and founding member of the Central Carolina Chapter AOSA (Raleigh, North Carolina); she has served as AOSA Local Conference Co-Chair Charlotte 08, AOSA NBT Region IV Representative 2011-2013, and workshop presenter for Wake County Public Schools System and the North Carolina Symphony Educational Concerts Program.

Amy Fenton teaches grades 1-5 Music and Movement in Haslett, Michigan. She is a Recorder Teacher Educator for AOSA Levels courses through Madonna University. Amy has served as President of the Mid-Michigan Chapter, as well as Regional Representative on the AOSA NBT, and is currently serving as AOSA Treasurer. Richard W. Reed (“Dick”) is an 18-year member of AOSA. He served as Treasurer of the Inland Counties Chapter (California) for 14 years, and on the AOSA Online Auction Committee from 2009 to 2013 (the last four as Chair). He taught vocal/choral music at all levels, Kindergarten to adult, for 37 years.

Jill DeVilbiss teaches music at Edith Bowen Laboratory School, a K-5 charter school at Utah State University. She is the Associate Artistic Director for Cache Children’s Choir and works with two choirs within the program. Jill completed her Orff training at Utah State University and University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Cindy Schmid was born in Erie, PA, and graduated from Edinboro University of PA with a BS in Music Education. She has a Master of Music Performance in horn from the University of Wyoming. She has 35 years teaching experience teaching Pre K through college in vocal, instrumental and general music.

Joshua Block teaches K-4 music and movement at Madison Simis Elementary in Phoenix and movement levels at Arizona State University. He is Past President of AZ Orff. He has presented workshops for AMEA and his local chapter. He also plays piano and sings at his church. I am Armando S. Campos. I teach K-5 Music at C.P. Squires ES in North Las Vegas, Nevada. I have also taught secondary instrumental and vocal music in northern Idaho and northeast Washington. My passion is teaching and I am blessed to teach children through this marvelous approach, Orff Schulwerk.

Mandy Gunter is the music specialist at Sycamore Elementary in Gwinnett County, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Georgia College and a Master of Education from Lesley University. She has attained Level 2 Orff certification and currently serves as President of the Atlanta Area Chapter. Eric Young teaches music at Price’s Fork Elementary in Blacksburg, VA. Eric holds a BMed from Radford University, an MAed from Virginia Tech, and completed his Levels and master classes at Appalachian State. Eric presents workshops all over the US and serves as the president of the Virginia Highlands Chapter.

Veronica Schucker (SUNY Fredonia) is an elementary music specialist in Niagara Falls, NY, teaching Pre-K – 6th grade, choirs and drama club. Veronica has completed three levels of Orff-Schulwerk training and is Nationally Board Certified in Elementary Music (2010.) She is currently President of WNYOSA (AOSA chapter) and VP of Membership for her County Music Educators Association. Pam Yanco is a K-3 music specialist at Fales School in Westborough, MA and is on the Music Education faculty at The Boston Conservatory. She completed three levels of Orff teacher education at University of Massachusetts Lowell. Pam has served as member at large, vice president, and president of the New England Orff Chapter.
