AOSA is saddened to report that Richard Gill is not able to present at the 2018 AOSA  Professional Development Conference. Gill has recently been diagnosed with a recurrence of colorectal and peritoneal cancer. He is unable to travel, but is still making music from his hospital bed in Australia. He sends his congratulations for a wonderful 50th anniversary AOSA conference and only wishes he could be with us to celebrate as originally planned. All those currently enrolled in his sessions will receive an email from AOSA Headquarters with opportunity to choose a replacement session. Please check the email address you used to register for conference if you need to have a schedule adjustment made.

The special 50th Anniversary Celebration event, originally featuring Gill, will still take place as the final session on Saturday. This exciting event will now feature Orff Schulwerk master teachers sharing and presenting with a children’s performance group presenting works from the volumes and beyond. You won’t want to miss this plenary event celebrating 50 years and the future of AOSA and Orff Schulwerk in the U.S. Watch the AOSA website and social media for more details on what is shaping up to be a meaningful, educational, and celebratory look at Orff Schulwerk in the U.S. and those who have developed it into the force it is today.

AOSA sends well-wishes to Gill as he continues to fight his battle with cancer. Viva la Musica, Richard!
