The Greater Chicago American Orff Schulwerk Association Chapter (GCAOSA) is a professional organization that aims to provide connection, camaraderie, and professional development for elementary general music teachers throughout the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs. We believe that ALL students can learn through actively singing, saying, dancing, playing, and listening to explore and create with the elements of music.
GCAOSA was established in 1970. We offer 5 Saturday workshops a year in September, October, February, March, and April. All workshops are held at Irion Hall on the Elmhurst University campus in partnership with the Elmhurst University Music Department.
