The Greater Augusta Area Orff Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association is a professional organization which aims to further the approach to music and movement education advocated by Carl Orff. We believe that through active singing, speaking, playing, moving, listening, and creating, true music education is experienced.
GAAO was established in May of 2022 and became officially chartered in November 2022. We offer teachers four Saturday workshops per year, given by nationally and internationally respected Orff educators.
The Chapter also sponsors a summer Orff Levels Course, recognized by the American Orff Schulwerk Association.
