David Dockan, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Music Education at Louisiana State University. His research focuses on belonging, teacher agency, and popular music pedagogy. An Orff Schulwerk and Modern Band clinician, he mentors future teachers and creates inclusive curricula, championing equitable, learner-led environments across K-college settings nationwide.
