Tips for Applicants

Please consider the following when completing your scholarship or grant applications:

1. We feel blessed to work with such talented educators and are amazed at your accolades. For the purpose of this application a one page resume will suffice.
2. Ask a colleague or another Orff Schulwerk teacher to proofread your application. Even the most talented writers have editors to ensure their work is ready for publication. Complete all fields.
3. The AutoCorrect feature makes some very interesting suggestions to words it doesn’t know well — especially words like “Schulwerk” and “Carl Orff.” (Those are really important words to spell correctly.)
4. Ask the people who are writing references to address the following:
   1. Detail their relationship with you
   2. The purpose of the application
   3. How has Orff Schulwerk impacted your teaching
5. Possible references could be:
   1. People who are familiar with your teaching, even a colleague or chapter leader
   2. A Levels instructor
   3. A department head or supervisor
6. You are encouraged to speak from the heart. It’s okay to tell us your story!
