KUOVSÂKKÂK: NORTHERN LIGHTS

The Aurora Borealis, Northern lights, displays a rich palate for the Orff approach with its glowing, undulating solar particles as they meet atmospheric gases and the Earth’s magnetic field. Images and folk tales about the lights from the Nordic countries as well as Native American peoples provide creative sparks for imitation, exploration, improvisation, and composition.
