Introduction to Hand Drum With A Keetman Jewel: Nibble Nibble Mousekin
The author introduces two short poems: one a “jewel” from Elementaria, First Acquaintance with Orff Schulwerk entitled “Nibble Nibble Mousekin;” the second, a poem by Native American artist T.C. Cannon entitled “The Circle.” Three and four year olds enjoy the common denominators of rhythm and repetition of rhyme of the first poem before using the second poem to celebrate circles and to introduce basic beginning hand drum techniques.
